How to find places to do paranormal investigation?
Q. I am new to paranormal investigaton aka ghost hunting. I am wondering how to go about finding places to investigate. I have found several websites that list places with alleged paranormal activity, but many of these places are privately owned. I figure it will be fairly difficult to gain access to privately owned properties as a new investigator. I am attempting to join an existing team, but that has also proven rather difficult. I am in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

A. Greetings! As a new paranormal investigator you may want to check with your local area's historical district. I'd start by finding places open to the public. (Old town halls, schools, meeting houses, etc). Make contact with one of the historians and start your basic questioning to find out which ares would be best to investigate. I would also target historic locations where significant events have occurred or where large numbers of people have died. Again, if it's in a historical area there will be records of such events and possibly lots of potential sources to interview to build your investigation.
